Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 1, 2026
Webjala (Private) Limited (“Webjala”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients and users. This policy describes how we handle personal data when you use webjala.com, our account portal at account.webjala.com, and related software and hosting services.
1. Information we collect
We collect information that is reasonably necessary to provide and secure our services, including:
- Account and contact details: Name, email address, and business contact information you provide when you register, contract with us, or communicate with our team.
- Website inquiries: When you use our contact form, your submission is delivered via FormSubmit. See their privacy policy for how they process form data.
- Security and service logs: IP addresses, access timestamps, and similar technical data to protect against abuse and unauthorized access.
- Payments: Online payments are processed through PayHere. We do not store or process full card numbers or CVV on our own servers. PayHere’s handling of payment data is covered in their privacy policy.
2. How we use information
We use personal data to deliver agreed services, respond to inquiries, invoice and collect payment, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and improve reliability of our platforms. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Data security
Our infrastructure follows a security-by-design approach, including:
- Data in transit protected using TLS (HTTPS).
- User credentials stored using strong one-way hashing (e.g. PBKDF2 or equivalent industry-standard algorithms).
- Restricted access to production systems and databases for authorized personnel only.
No online service can guarantee absolute security; we continually review and improve our safeguards.
4. Third-party processors
We do not sell or trade your data. We share information only with processors that help us operate the business, such as:
- PayHere — payment processing (payhere.lk, privacy policy).
- FormSubmit — routing contact form messages to our inbox (formsubmit.co, privacy policy).
- Google Fonts — web fonts on this site; see Google’s privacy policy.
5. Retention and your choices
We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, and dispute resolution requirements. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold. To exercise these rights or ask questions about this policy, contact us at contact@webjala.com.

Refund and cancellation policy
Supplement to your service or project agreement
Notice: As a provider of custom software and other intangible services, refunds and cancellations depend on project progress and billing milestones. The following applies unless a written agreement states otherwise.
1. Software development
Refunds for custom development work are handled as follows:
- Pre-kickoff: If you cancel before any billable work has started, we will refund 100% of any advance paid for that phase, subject to reversal timelines from our payment provider.
- In progress: If a project ends after work has begun, Webjala may retain a pro-rata amount reflecting logged effort, costs incurred, and milestones completed, as set out in your quotation or statement of work.
- Completed delivery: No refund is due once final deliverables are supplied or deployed to your agreed environment, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
2. Hosting & subscriptions
Hosting fees and recurring maintenance or subscription plans are generally billed in advance. You may cancel renewal at any time; amounts already charged for the current billing period are not refunded unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3. Refund processing
Approved refunds are processed within 10 working days where practicable. For compliance and fraud prevention, refunds are credited to the original payment method used in the PayHere transaction (e.g. card or account as applicable).
